Dr. Vivian Johnson is an Associate Professor at Hamline University, Graduate School of Education, 1536 Hewitt Ave., St. Paul, MN, 55104-1284, 651-532-2432.
Dr. Johnson uses technology to enhance instruction in her face-to-face courses, developed the curriculum for The Teaching and Technology Certificate Program (a 4-course graduate continuing studies certificate program for licensed teachers), developed a summer technology enrichment camp for young women in grades 5-8, and is involved in technology-related professional development activities for K-16 teachers. She is a presenter on the topics of technology integration, technology-related professional development, and digital equity at local, regional, and national conferences (NECC 2008, ‘07, ‘03, ‘01, 1999-1997).
Cara Hagen is an Education Technology Coordinator at TIES, 1667 Snelling Ave. N., St. Paul, MN 55108, 651-999-6505.
Currently Cara is an Education Technology Coordinator at TIES where she does professional development for teachers in the area of education technology. From 2004-2007 Cara coordinated the Keyboarding for Computer Applications K-8 additional licensure program and the Teaching and Technology Certificate at Hamline University’s Graduate School of Education as well as acting as advisor to all students participating in either of these two programs. From 2000-present she taught courses in these programs both on campus and in a learning communities For eighteen years Cara was employed at Highland Catholic School, a K-8 parochial school in St. Paul, where she taught English and computer class as well as being the technology coordinator. She has presented on topics related to teaching with technology and technology integration at local, regional, and national conferences including Hamline University’s Summer Literacy Institute (‘05, ‘07), Minnesota Catholic Education’s Association Convention (‘05, ‘07) TIES Educational Technology Conference (‘06, ‘07, '08), NECC (‘07, ’08), and Minnesota e-Learning Summit ('08).
